Transtar POS was created in 2003 and has expanded to three offices in Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth and Austin, Texas. We became a reseller of restaurant point of sale (POS) systems at a time when there were already several large companies providing the same services and products. In order to compete, it was necessary to focus on two distinct areas: price and customer service.
Because Transtar POS was able to provide its customers with the latest in restaurant technology and the most customer support at a lower cost, we have been fortunate enough to double revenues each year, a feat that earned Transtar POS the recognition of being named Aldelo’s Best On-site reseller for 2006 & 2007 as well as being featured on the July 2006 cover of Business Solutions Magazine. In addition, Michael Tran of Transtar POS was named an Entrepreneur of the Year for 2007 by the Houston Asian Chamber of Commerce and was recently given an Award of Distinction by the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
Transtar POS is always adapting and expanding in order to better serve our clients, and because of that, we are now providing software and support for both Dinerware and Aldelo. By offering two (2) different types of POS software systems, we are in a better position to help enable our customers to succeed. Each POS system is geared toward a particular type of restaurant and/or operator, so now we will be able to provide each customer with a system that is suited to their specific needs.
